• got to left the band: He left Newsboys over personal disputes in 1992/93, went back to play for Kim Boyce for a stint, and is now MIA ('missing in action'); later Jody Davis was his successor on the guitar

• what is he doing now: It seems he's working as a songwriter, guitar-player at least as a "freelancer"—he co-wrote two songs for Australian worship artist Andrew Ironside and also realesed two instrumental guitar albums on his own back in 2001 (see his discography)!

• origins: Australia
• got to join the band: together with Peter Furler a founding member of the band; at the beginning they were called "The News" for a while; George was the band's first drummer (before Peter) but he left before the "Read All About It" album though he had written some songs for it; sometime in 1989 he joined the boys again on some U.S. tour...
